About Us
We exist to maintain the highest standards in the delivery of Oxygen Treatment and to protect the general public.
Since 2008 the model used by the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Therapy Centres is now being widely adopted. However, what has been omitted is access to the training, inspection and peer review regimes to satisfy the conditions of good practice and self-regulation.
The aim of The OTA is to address this vacuum by providing a membership association open to all providers of Oxygen Treatment, not just those with a specific connection with MS. Through this association, members will have the same access to guidance on treatment, training and inspection that has been enjoyed by the MS centres and safeguarded them from any serious incidents for over forty years.
The OTA was formed by the coming together of some of the leading practitioners in the field in common purpose to maintain standards and protect the public. The OTA has been several years in the making and was formally established in 2020.
